I am a specialist in prosthodontics based in the uk, having specifically chosen to limit my clinical practice to the discipline of dentures.

I love providing comfortable and life-like dentures which profoundly improve a patient’s quality of life.

I love teaching dental professionals how to provide state of the art dentures. As well as demonstrating the techniques in producing optimal functioning and natural looking dentures another important aim is to ignite enthusiasm for removable prosthodontics proving that dentures are a valid treatment modality even in the age of dental implants.

I qualified as a dentist in 1993 and spent 6 years in general dental practice. During this time I found denture provision (and prosthodontics in general) unpredictable and as a result very stressful. This led me to leave general practice and gain a further 6 years formal training in prosthodontics and restorative dentistry at Manchester and Liverpool dental hospitals prior to starting my specialist referral practice in 2007.

I now concentrate my professional life within three areas of removable prosthodontics, namely;

• Clinical provision of dentures for patients

• Training/lecturing for dentists, clinical dental technicians and dental technicians

• Research and development

Finlay loves spending the rest of his time with his family and friends. Additionally, he enjoys running, playing badminton, meditating and reading.
